Spreadsheets
I enjoyed this task and I can see its usefulness within the classroom. I did find the task to be difficult as I could not work out how to mail merge but despite this I felt as though I could replicate this in the future. When creating my spreadsheets, I was able to remember the skills I had when I was doing IT in high school. I feel that I need to do more work on Excel to be able to remember the formulas I would require.
Movie Making
This task was helpful to remind me of my movie making skills. I have made movies before and being able to edit and add multi media features to the final movie enabled us to create a rich and interesting movie. I can see how this could be applied within the classroom, especially with the inclusion of iPads although I need to make sure that I know who to use iMovie to enable the students to be able to edit their work using the same compatible program.

Comics
At the beginning of the task, I thought that this was going to be a waste of time but educational comics enable students to use a large range of skills depending on the task and are able to present in a fun and engaging way. I feel that comics could be used in the class for a variety of reasons and enables cross curricula assessment and needs within the curriculum to enable students to demonstrate several skills

Multi Media Story
When creating multi-media stories the students need to aware of the use of the presentation software. I used Prezi as this takes away options for the students, as they have predetermined themes, font, paths and sequence. I would use this format as students spend a lot of time doing this and by giving them limited options, I feel that their multi-media stories would be more successful as they are focusing on the skills not the format itself. The students need to have basic PowerPoint skills but an understanding of researching, cut and paste and how to use the different resources to make their presentations fun, engaging and meaningful to the students.

"7 things you should know about blog"s: Comment/ Discussion
Blogs are a good way to be able to reflect and have an interactive journal by doing this we are enabling our students to be able to decipher their thoughts in a way that enables anonymity and the students to be able to think and discuss their actions using retrospect. i feel as though the negativity of blogs are that students need to learn the skills of reflection which is not inherent and this may cause the blogs to be flawed at times surface reflection but by scaffolding these skills the students will learn to reflect effectively

Wiki and e-Portfolio
Today, we learnt about wikis and what they are and how they can be used in the classroom. To me, wiki is a modified and editiable blog that has several users and can be changed to suit the needs of the both the audience and the author(s). Wiki uses a constructivist approach and enables its users to create and develop their own understanding in an organic manner. E-Portfolios can be used to enable students to be able to upload and create an online resource which allows the user to create and connect pages that are of similar or interconnected topics, such as ICT.

Computers are fun and so is Google
We learnt about efficient, relevant, safety and efficacy when we search throughout the internet. I now know a brief history about the internet and the world wide web. I now know that the internet is interconnected and may be described as a spider's web as its parts and components are interconnected. We need to be able to teach our students to be able to decipher their sources and have the ability to search with an intention. The internet has a myriad of issues and due to its troublesome and at times unclear expectations of both the user and their internet understanding and their overall ability to use the internet. Therefore the students need to be given a range of skills to be able to use and develop their understanding of who and what the internet is and how to use it in an appropriate manner
